GemsUpNorth’s 2017 Gift Guide*

December 12, 2017

It’s December and it's Christmas time, now we are well into the festive month it’s time to finish off that Christmas shopping. I’ve put together a gift guide filled with lots of beauty items but with a few extras as well; I’d be more than happy to open any of these presents on Christmas Day. So what's on your Christmas list this year?

Perfume is always a winner at Christmas in my eyes but picking out smaller bottles are also really handy. I prefer to carry a smaller, handbag size bottle with me for easiness and it’s more lightweight of course. This perfume from Joan Collins Beauty is just the perfect size and smells beautiful, so it’s a win win for a present or stocking filler this year! With scents of citrus with woody undertones its perfect to wear as an everyday perfume and you can apply anywhere with this handy handbag size or buy them a bigger bottle to keep at home.

Leighton Denny Nails Colour Soiree Collection*
You’ve all heard me talk about Leighton Denny nail polishes before, I think they are some of the best polishes I own; they are long lasting, have a large shade range and are super easy to apply! This mini polish set is just one of LD Nails Christmas sets and I’d be over to moon to find this under my tree! With festive shades included like red, glitter gold and a winter wonderland white and all topped off with a clear top coat for good measure. This would make the perfect present for one of your friends too!

I reckon this palette may be on everyone’s wish lists this Christmas. The beautiful Saint + Sinner palette has 24 shades and there’s a shade for everyone weather your a 'saint' or a 'sinner'! With KvD’s long lasting full pigment shades, some neutral and some bright and bold shades, it's truly one of the best palettes this year. My favourite shades are 'Ministry' a glimmering blue shade, 'Rapture' a beautiful pink glimmer and 'devil' a rushy orange shade which is so different to any other shade I own. Anyone would be lucky to find this palette under their Christmas tree this December.

Kat Von D Beauty Sinner perfume** (also available Saint Perfume)
After you added the KvD Saint + Sinner palette to the wrapping list your gonna need a perfume to go with that. Choose from Saint or Sinner or mix the two together to create a third scent; you’d technically be buying 3 presents instead of 2 haha. Not only do both perfumes smell absolutely amazing and unique but have you seen the bottle! I’d never throw this bottle away even after the perfume is gone so it would be a really nice gift to receive.

If you’ve not heard of Spectrum or seen them around on the Internet then where have you been? One of the most anticipated launches of the year for me was this Mean Girls range and to find any of the sets or items wrapped up this year would make my year. I can’t get over the idea of a burn book themed brush case that you can also use as a handbag; there’s even a small pouch inside for your smaller handbag items. Make a girls dreams come true and pop this under the tree this Christmas.

Urban Decay Heavy Metals eyeshadow palette
I already know this palette is under my Christmas tree this year as I’ve treated myself to it last week; a gift from me to me (why not eh...). I’ve had my eyes on this palette since it was launched and with my love for full colour eye looks I had to have it. UD have launched a Heavy Metals Christmas range with all the sparkle and glitter you'll ever need, not only is there this palette but also Heavy Metal Glitter eyeliners. Make someones Xmas sparkle with Urban Decay!

Have you got a Disney fan to buy for? How about an alternative Disney themed gift from Merci Handy. Merci Handy are one of my favourite brands and when they brought this Disney set out I had to get my hands on it; I even searched the Sephora Store in Paris. You can buy the set from the Merci Handy website and postage is pretty quick too. Each hand gel has a different Disney character on the label and a different beautiful scent! It's an alternative Disney gift that they probably don't have but totally need!

A Good Book - Stephen King’s IT
Buying your bookworm friend a book this Christmas will be thoughtful and I’m sure they will love it. This Stephen King’s IT book was actually a gift to me from one of my best friends as a thank you and I loved receiving it as a present so it would definitely go down well under my Christmas tree. Find out their favourite author or next read and treat them to a ‘some might say’ old school present this year.

Opening some sexy lingerie this Christmas could bring a smile to anybody’s face. UK Lingerie have a large range of lingerie sets, baby dolls and separates to choose from and their delivery is amazingly quick (I’m talking next day). Each piece I’ve had from them has been good quality, well fitted and feels great on. To receive this beautiful Baby doll from the other half this Christmas would be a wonderful present.

I hope this has given you some ideas for gift giving this year and your well on your way to finishing that shopping. Queue the food shop next eh? Let me know if you pick up any of these products as gifts this year.
