When I think of LUSH, I think bath-bombs, shower gels and soaps but they have so much more now including cosmetics, makeup and even subscription boxes. I’ve been a fan of Lush for years and I miss going into stores so much at the moment, but I have done a few online orders especially over Xmas for the Christmas exclusives. Back when the stores were open I would attend events in the Manchester and Liverpool stores, these were always lots of fun and it was great to learn more about Lush products and services; you can read a review of the Lush Spa in Liverpool here and about parties in the Manchester store here.

Recently I was given the chance to sample the new Lush Lashes lengthening mascara and I jumped at the chance; mascara is one of the beauty products I still use frequently; its all in the eyes now we are wearing face coverings when outside.

Lush Lashes is a new formula made up of natural ingredients to condition your lashes, add volume and lengthen them. It’s a brilliant all-rounder mascara that’s kind to the planet and your eyes! Inside you’ll find coconut oil to condition lashes, this combined with Gum Acacia helps to hold the volume and curl in the lashes without smudging throughout the day. To help lengthen long term, there is Wheatgrass within the few ingredients which helps to boost lash growth because it contains vitamins, minerals and proteins.

The mascara itself is jet black and one coat on my lashes was perfect for a natural look however with a couple of coats it adds drama to my lashes. The formula is light and easy to apply, no big clumps or smudging whilst applying and the wand is perfect for grabbing all those small thin lashes that some mascaras miss. I was already sold at this point but even more so after 8-9 hours wear and not a smudge in sight! It lasted throughout the day even whilst wearing a face covering and dealing with steamed up glasses.

Lastly removal of Lush Lashes mascara was simple and quick, I can’t stress enough that it melted off with my regular makeup remover in one or two swipes. I was left with conditioned lashes because the coconut oil.

Lush Lashes is available on uk.lush.com website for £15.50, it will last you ages with only needing a couple of coats at most.

Please bare in mind that there is BEESWAX in the ingredient list so may not be suitable for all Vegans.
