Magical vibes from Birchbox this April

April 19, 2019

Birchbox sent out a magical and enchanting box this month, the box design really says it all, with a crystal paint print with hints of gold; its absolutely beautiful! They also went ahead and created a special edition box design with a lift up lid that houses a mirror inside so its like a little jewellery box, this came as an added treat for us Birchboxers. This months theme was 'You're a Gem' and of course this sat well with me being a Gem but also my love of gemstones and crystals means I now have a new box to keep some of them in. The Gem theme was present with some of the products included as well; there were 5 products in my box this month with a Benefit Cosmetics treat in everyone's box.

So bet you all want to know what was inside the box...

ESTATE Cosmetics - Dew Me baked highlighter in Afterglow - RRP £10.00 - Full Size
This ESTATE Cosmetics highlighter was the picked product of the month, I decided to go with the Afterglow shade as this is more my style and will be perfect for festival season. The baked highlighter has a creamy texture even though it is a powder, it applies easily and blends like a dream!!! I am left with a dewy highlight that glows in a pinky purple shade, I can't wait to wear this all summer. It's also a great product to apply over lipstick to create a glow look on the lips and also can be applied to your eyes for a glow up. ESTATE isn't a brand I've used before but am happy I've been able to try it plus I'm super impressed and love the pink packaging!

Benefit Cosmetics - Mini POREfessional primer - RRP £28.00 for a full size tube
Birchbox often have Benefit Cosmetics minis featured and it's always a welcomed treat for me, I've got quite a mini collection now. The POREfessional primer is amazing though and if you haven't tried it already, you need it. This primer glides onto my skin so smoothly and leaves me with a perfectly matte and pore-less base for my makeup or for a natural look the primer alone is enough. I'm saving this mini for my festival makeup kit as its long-lasting, gives me a matte finish and the little tube is travel friendly.

Vitamasques - Diamond Eye Pads - RRP £4.99 - Full Size
My first discovery of Vitamasques was from a beauty box and could of well been Birchbox but since then I've been a fan. I'm all for a get up and go look but sometimes a late night or long week can make me look tried, que the diamond eye pads!!! Infused with real diamond power, yes real diamond and caffeine to refresh, brighten and hydrate your eyes. The pads have a cooling effect which you can feel as soon as you pop the pads on, its so relaxing and my eyes were instantly de-puffed after removing them. Vitamasques have some of the coolest packaging too, these masks came in a holographic/diamond sassy packet that fitted in so well with the box theme.

Human+Kind - Travel sized Body Souffle - RRP £16.45 for full size
This was another new brand for me this month, Human+Kind are a skincare brand with a conscience, they are Vegan, Cruelty Free, Paraben free and created with natural products that are ethically sourced. The body souffle is so smooth in texture because it is a whipped cream and applies like a dream on my skin, soaking into my skin quickly and leaving no residue behind. The scent is fresh with hints of apricot and peach making for a light fruity scent. I can feel a difference straight after applying and my skin is soft to touch. I'll be keeping this in my handbag for applications on the go.

Balance Me - Mini Wonder Eye Cream - RRP £20.00 for full size.
Balance Me's Wonder Eye Cream is not new to me and this isn't the first time I've tried the product, I'm pretty sure I've received a couple of these in various beauty boxes in the past. It's a nice cream that does what it says it does, de-puffs eyes, softens them and brightens with ingredients like chamomile, coconut, rosehip and carrot oils it a good blend of elements to add to your skincare routine. I'm going to pass this product onto a friend so they can sample it too.

I personally think this has been the best Birchbox in the last few months with a good mix of products and brands included and a fantastic box design! I've already had my VIP choice email and next month everyone has the choice of a Lord & Berry treat; options are a lip liner in Vintage Rose or a Line/Shade eye pencil.

You can get your first Birchbox for £5.00 by using my referral link here and then make your choice of Lord & Berry product ready for May's delivery, which will you go for?
