Join the Coven with Jawbreaker Clothing*

October 25, 2018

Halloween is nearly here guys and I'm so ready for the spooky weekend to start, its my favourite time of year and I've always celebrated it from being a kid. My alternative style is somewhat a Halloween hit but I'm a little weird all year round so when I saw Jawbreaker's new Autumn/Winter range at London Edge in September I was super excited about the all the new clothing and accessories they had to offer.

I've worked with Jawbreaker on my blog before where I featured the Alchemy Skater Dress, Middle Finger bag and the Mini Skull hoodie. The team kindly sent me a new dress and parasol to style up in time for Halloween and I have gone for an American Horror Story Coven vibe which I enjoyed shooting so much.

The Homicidal Manic dress* is absolutely perfect for a Halloween look and for my wardrobe, an all year around look. Instantly the dress reminded me of AHS season 3 - Coven, the scene of the witches walking down the street with the umbrellas was in my head straight away and I wanted to create a look based around this theme. As well as the dress Jawbreaker gifted me the Gothic Lace Parasol* which as you can tell works so well with the outfit!

This dress is the main focus in my outfit and really brings the witch vibe into play, with the white ruffle collar against the black dress and 3/4 length sleeves; it's screaming I'm in a coven!!! I found the dress to be so comfortable to wear and it fits well too, the button up fastening makes it easy to get on and off and the buttonstand adds to the dress as a feature. Around the top of the dress are ruffles which I think add some girlishness to the dress but yet still holding onto that gothic theme. As the dress gathers in at the waist it really adds that hourglass shape whilst not being tight at all, the sleeves are also gathered and sit just covering my elbow which is very flattering too.

I paired the dress with my Dr Martens X Lazy Oaf Jungle Boots which I've pretty much worn every week since I got them last year and I added the Coven themed hat which I picked up in H&M a couple of years ago; its actually from one of their Coachella collections.

Lastly I added one of my favourite bags, the Neve backpack from Disturbia Clothing, this bag has so much room in it and with the extra wide straps it sits comfortably on my shoulders even when the bag is full. Also it has harness straps around the bottom of the back which go around my waist, these are an unique extra.

Would you wear this dress for Halloween?
