Debenhams Christmas Event 2017 - Manchester

November 18, 2017

Christmas events are well underway now and just before I went on my holidays I was invited to the Debenhams Christmas 2017 event in Manchester, I jumped at the chance to go and was super excited to see what Debenhams had to offer this year.

The event took place at The Great John Street Hotel in Manchester which is super fancy and has a vintage feel to the inside decor, I personally think the venue was beautiful and reminded me of a cottage style home. Debenhams had dressed the room full of Christmas gifts, clothing and beauty items, Blow Ltd were also there providing hair styling and nail treatments. What was more exciting was that Matthew Williamson himself was in attendance, the fashion graduate inside me was screaming and jumping with joy!

Blow Ltd have recently opened in the Debenhams Manchester store for all your beauty needs. You can book in for hair, nail and makeup treatments as well as 15 minute looks so you could pop in on your lunch break to glam up or after work before the Christmas night out. Blow Ltd will also come to your house and provide treatments so you can book your hair or makeup before a night out, wedding or any event. Check out the website here for more information.

As I’ve said above the event room was filled with lots of items to see, there was lots of gifts for her, for him, for the kids and even for your pets! There was everything from clothing, perfume, homeware, lingerie and toys; in all different sizes from large presents to stocking fillers; you’d probably be able to do all your Xmas shop at Debenhams this year!

Some of my favourite pieces of the evening was from the women’s and homeware ranges. I spotted a pile set up of Christmas kitchen ware including plates, cups and tea towels. I’d purchase these either for myself or as a present for my Grandma, neighbours or even friends; anyone that’s a fan of Xmas would love these as a gift, they could reuse them each year too!

Perfume and lingerie are the presents your other half would perhaps purchase but again why not treat yourself whilst your Christmas shopping. I always find Debenhams has a wide range of lingerie in lots of different sizes too. They have branded sets like in the above photo and their own brand too, there’s something for everyone’s budget. If your struggling for a present for friends, you can’t go wrong with a perfume gift set, pick up their favourite scents in the fragrance department within Debenhams.

Shoes and bubbles... some might say a girls best friends! This section of the event space brought Xmas parties to mind, grab your dancing shoes and that free glass of procecco from work and celebrate Christmas in style. You’ll find all your outfit needs at Debenhams from shoes to a glitzy dress to beauty products.

Making your Christmas present list and remembering who to buy for may take some time but if you’ve got kids to buy for, I’m sure they won’t let you forget them. Debenhams has lots and lots of toys, games, stocking fillers and novelty gifts for children of all ages. You’ll find all their favourite films, characters and animals in the kids section.

Beauty and the Beast is super popular this year so there’ll be a chip cup under lots of trees this year along with everyone’s favourite unicorn items; I’m particularly a fan of the unicorn cushion you can see above. Pick up a gift guide in store at Debenhams and get the kids to circle their present choices to give yourselves a hand when deciding what to get them. Remember Debenhams have a click and collect service too so you can shop from the comfort of your own home and pick at a convenient time for you, pick up when you don’t have the kids so they don’t clock anything your buying :)

I hope anyone who has a pet at home involves them in their Xmas celebrations, they are part of the family after all. Debenhams haven’t left them out either, I was surprised to see so many pet gifts available!

You can share a glass of prosecco with the dog or cat on Christmas Eve because Debenhams have dog/cat friendly procecco, add a toy into the mix and settle down with a new food bowl filled with Christmas dinner left overs (only the food safe for animals to eat of course).

Men... aren’t they a pain to buy for? Well I think so, I struggle every year to shop for the other half but this year Debenhams have a few ideas up those sleeves. Novelty stocking fillers like flying UFO gadgets or the usual socks but if your looking for something a little bigger Debenhams have men's fragrance sets, Christmas jumpers, nice wallets or alcoholic gifts. Clothing is always something to wrap up at Xmas too, pick up a nice new shirt or some smart shoes and pop them under the tree for them.

After seeing the choice of gifts available at Debenhams this Christmas I'm pretty sure you could complete all your Xmas shopping in one shop, weather your shopping for the other half, the kids, pets, family members, friends and even neighbours. They have small gifts, large gifts and even personalised gifts so its definitely worth a look in Debenhams this festive season.

Who are you planning to buy for this Christmas, got any ideas for presents now?
