Another awesome show from London Edge! - September 2017

September 10, 2017

Last Sunday I attended London Edge, this is my second time visiting the trade show and it's such a fun and inspiring day. I attended back in February and met up with some fellow bloggers, we all decided to meet up again for this show. Edge is a authentic lifestyle fashion trade show that runs twice a year in February and September, the Business Design Centre is home to Edge this year and its a great location. Easy to get too from all transport links, big enough to hold all the alternative fashion and lifestyle brands in attendance and have a catwalk show running throughout the day. It's one of my favourite events of the year and I already can't wait for the next show.

Lots of my favourite brands were showcasing this year including Lindy Bop, TUK Shoes, Manic Panic and Librastyle Tees; there were also some new brands for me to discover too. After meeting my blogger friends; Jess, Kim, Rach and Lucy at the train station we headed straight to the show, we walked around all the stands and interacted with the brands; swapping business cards, snapping photos and seeing new products. The whole day was filled with inspiration, fashion and laughs; roll on February! We also met up with some other fellow bloggers Emma, Emilina and Kinga, we had a full on blogger squad going on!

I organised to interview one of the Lindy Bop team whilst at the show, the interview went really well and this post is already live, you can read it here. I was also super happy to see the TUK Shoes stand and they had some amazing shoes on show including a some glittery creepers, embroidered creeper boots and cherry print sneakers; I made a mental wish list whilst on the stand. We got talking to Steve who was manning the stand, we discussed the brand and it's products as well as having a general chat; I'd love to work with TUK in the future on my blog!

Keeping with the shoe theme, YRU brought an amazing selection of their shoes to Edge as well. I've been a long time fan of YRU and happy to hear they now have an UK warehouse; I can't wait to made an order, I must have the black flatforms with wires on the sole. Charla Tedrick is an independent shoe brand and the heels they have are amazing; lots of punk rock, alternative and fierce feels going on! Check out all the amazing shoes from YRU, TUK, Charla Tedrick, Banned and Lindy Bop below.

The catwalk was running throughout both days of the show and we caught the last performance of the day on Sunday at 4.30pm. There were collections showing from lots of brands at the show, they were all showcasing their new clothing and accessories. The catwalk lasted around half an hour and was filled with fashions for everyones taste and some to die for pieces! I was pleased to see New Rock as they are a favourite of mine yet I'm still to own a pair of boots from them. The show ended with a stylist edit which included a range of merchandise from different brands all styled into one section of the show; this was a favourite part of the show for me.

Not only was there so much fashion and shoes to see but there were lots of lifestyle, beauty and accessories brands showcasing too including; Punky Pins, Pyro Pets, Charlotte Clark Designer Maker, Hermans Amazing and Hex-Bomb. Punky Pins had a competition running on both days of the event to guess their pin number, you had to guess how many pins was on the stand; my guess was correct and I won some amazing cupcakes which was delivered to me!

I absolutely loved seeing the Pyro Pets candles in person and its made me want one even more; they even have an unicorn candle now!!! I've followed Charlotte Clark Designer Maker on socials for a while now and it was lovely chatting to her on the stand and seeing all her creativity. Mermaid Salon was based in the press area but no one was around to chat to them, they had mermaid tail makeup brushes, palettes and lip products; the brand looked right up my street. I was really pleased to meet the Little Ondine team and learn about their peal off nail polish that has no chemical scent, they had lots of shades to see and the product looked amazing; I'm hoping to try this polish soon!

As you can see it was a full packed day at Edge with lots of exciting things happening, I was pleased to meet all the brands, bloggers and have a great day in general. As I've just gone back working as a Body Piercer I was able to see and speak to the jewellery brands at the show and make some connections with them too.

The countdown to February's show has already begun, me and the other bloggers was talking about making a weekend of it and staying over so we can all make the after party, Feb's show is usually a week after my birthday so we might as well celebrate that too. I'm hoping to have some blog posts up featuring some of the brands I spoke too so keep an eye out for them.

Thanks London Edge for a wonderful show again and see you in February!
