Styling my dream coat from Iron Fist clothing
February 24, 2017
This year I made it a blogger goal of mine to do more fashion themed posts on my blog so I have started to plan photoshoots with my favourite garments and I've got so much planned for you guys.
Last week I went to Liverpool to visit the Urban Decay boutique (blog post coming up about this) and had my make up done so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to do a fashion photoshoot styling my favourite coat from Iron Fist Clothing. I brought one of my best friends along who also studied Photography with me to take the photos. During college I would never model or be in front of the camera as I hate my photo being taken but I've set myself a challenge with my blogger goal to get more confident in front of the camera. I think within time I will feel more comfortable and experiment with poses and looks more but for now I'll be the awkward model in my favourite clothes.
Liverpool has lots of great locations for shoots with lots of urban spaces and graffiti filled walls. We opted to shoot in front of Grand Central, an alternative shopping spot which I think fits perfectly with my outfit. This coat that I bought from Iron Fist on Christmas Eve created a stir whilst walking around town; 2 ladies even stopped me in Boots to ask where it was from and for me to write down the website for them. I feel fabulous when wearing this coat even though I get lots of looks and stares. I teamed my coat with a slogan tee from Zara that I purchased whilst in London a couple of weeks ago. The tee states 'I am what I am' on the front in a vivid yellow colour and has 2 tie cut offs on the hem, I decided to tie each in an knot rather than together, I thought this gave my outfit a more edgy look. My black skinny jeans are a stable in my wardrobe and I wear them all the time, this pair has zips up the ankle that give them more character; I bought these from Primark a while ago for just £5.00!
Finally to complete the outfit; my shoes and accessories, this Liquid Sarcasm bag is from SkinnyDip London and also turns heads; it looks like a can of pop and is glittery pink, the slogan fits my personality... I think. The creepers I'm sporting are also from Iron Fist and are one of my favourite items from them, I got these at Download Festival last year for £20.00 which was such a bargain; I hope to see IF at this years festival.
Let me know what you think guys, I'll be posting more looks/styles/outfits each month from now on so keep checking back :)
