#PAPERHAUL box review - Your monthly paper fix!

March 07, 2016

The lovely people at Crafty Creatives put together boxes of crafty bits each month to send to crafty creative people, one box is the original Crafty Creative box that features a kit to create different crafts each month, #Beadhaul is a make your own jewellery kit box and finally #Paperhaul which is the box for all the stationary lovers out there, featuring paper in the form of cards, notebooks, tags and more.

#Paperhaul kindly sent me a box to review and I am so impressed with the contents of the box, there was so much more than I expected inside. #Paperhaul is a monthly subscription box that collaborates with different artists and illustrators each month, this month was the exciting and fun colab with Jemma from Dorkfaceblog. I've been following Jemma on Twitter for some time now so was familiar with her illustrations and they are so fun to look at. I love that these illustrations are so artistic and fashionable too, some remind of of fashion illustrations I used to research in University.

Inside the box was 3 gift tags, 3 mini note cards with envelopes, a notebook, 2 postcards, a greeting card with envelope and a roll of washi tape, all with Dorkface's designs on.

First of all the quality of the paper, cards and envelopes is amazing, they are all high quality and look very professional. The print quality is also excellent, I've had cards from big companies that haven't been this good quality.

Each item in the box is unique and has a use, the gift tags are something that I will be using this month as most of my families birthdays are in March. It's great that the gift tags come with the strings attached too, that's something I wasn't expecting either.

The notebook was another surprise on the quality level as the illustrations are not only printed on the front and back but also on the inside covers which is nice to see. The paper inside the notebook is heavy enough to hold ink without leakage through to the other pages, I can keep this little A6 book in my bag to write down blog ideas when out and about.

My favourite design is on one of the postcards and featured on the washi tape too, I love the slogan that's with the card. "My hair, my rules" this reminds me of my teenage years of dying my hair every colour of the rainbow and this carried on well up until my 20's. Oh how I miss my bright pink hair, if it wasn't for work I'd still have my hair bright now.
Both the postcards featured hair related slogans and have great designs on them, on the back of the cards there is room to write a postcard themed message and space for an address to post them to friends and family.

#Paperhaul is just £10.00 a month with a small £2.00 postage fee, the box fits through the letterbox so theres not an issue if you aren't in when it arrives too and they also post out internationally.
For each box that is sold #Paperhaul donates 10p to the UK charity Postpals, who help people send snail mail to sick children to brighten up their day, you can read more about this here.

I'm so happy with this #Paperhaul box and so thankful that I was sent it to review! My overall thoughts are that if you love stationary, discovering new artists to admire and supporting small businesses then #Paperhaul is for a box you! If this sounds like you, then you can sign up here.

If paper isn't your thing then check out #Beadhaul and the original Crafty Creative kit box.

Lastly receiving this box and looking at past boxes on the website has inspired me to look back at some of my own illustration work, I started using Photoshop and Illustrator in college/university and I enjoy creating drop repeat designs especially with fashion related work. So I'm thinking of putting together some designs and maybe contacting #Paperhaul about a colab with myself!

What do you think about the #Paperhaul box and other Crafty boxes from Crafty Creatives???
