My first GlossyBox - November 2015

November 27, 2015

This month I decided to try out GlossyBox, I've been signed up to Birchbox over the last 2 months so thought I would try another beauty subcription box as well. (Treated myself)

GlossyBox have not disappointed at all, my box arrived in a timely manner and had great items inside including Eylure and MUA Cosmetics.
I absolutely love the packaging of my GlossyBox, it arrived in a outer mail box which protected the sleek pink branded box inside. The items inside the box was laid on shredded paper and wrapped in a single piece of tissue paper with a bow and sticker securing the paper in place. It is really lovely packaging and it made me feel like I was getting an exclusive present!

So what was in the box?

MUA Cosmetics eye shadow palette - Undressed £4.00 - Full Size
MUA is already a brand I know and love, so to receive a palette I don't already own was great. This palette is made up of nude and slimmer shades. The shades have an autumn/winter feel to them so will be used over the winter months for sure. I don't tend to wear nude shades often but I like to use them as a base when doing a a full eyeshadow look.

Eylure - Natural lashes £5.00 - Full Size
Lashes aren't something I wear however with these being a natural look I am going to give them a go. The only reason I haven't used lashes often is because I struggle to put them on. Eylure isn't a unknown brand to me, I have used the eyebrow pencils and brow dye kits in the past. I have always found there products to be good quality, they also last a long time, my eyebrow pencil is an excellent example of this.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick - Fire & Ice £7.99 - Full Size
I absolutely love red lipstick although I would of preferred a purple shade for this season. I tend to stick to red and purple shades in any lipstick I buy. Revlon is a brand I never buy so trying out a full size product will be a chance to see what the brand is like before I buy any of the other products.

Royal Apothic Body Lotion - Travel Size (Full Size £14.50)
I have to admit this is the only product I haven't opened and used or will be using in the box. I'm currently using a moisturiser that I am happy with, my skin reacts to some products so I'm going to stick to that cream. I will however be giving this to my mum so I can report back what she thought of the product at a later date.

Emite Diamond Heart Primer - Travel Size (Full Size £25.50)
I use primers on my face, eyes and now lashes so trying out a new primer was brilliant . This primer has a peachy colour to it so it evens out the skin tone along with highlighting the skin too. I like to use a face primer for both these reasons before applying any foundations or powers. The Emite primer smoothes on to the skin easily and blends in well to give a smooth base for the next step in my makeup routine. I would buy this product again but the price tag does put me off a little.

My favourite items in the box was the MUA palette and the Revlon lipstick as these are the two items I will use most. Even the value of just these two items add up to more than the box itself so you can see the value in getting a beauty sub box.

I'd been reading 'Which Beauty Box UK' blog and on her November GlossyBox post there was a promo code to receive 3 extra items with your November box, I used this code and received 3 items seperatly to my box. These 3 items was...

1. La Roche-Posey Anthelios XL - Dry touch gel cream
2. So Susan - Concealer Quad palette
3. Clarins - Extra-firming Body Cream

I'm super pleased with these extra items especially the So Susan concealer quad palette. I've used a La Roche-Posey product before and I had great results so I'm excited to see how this product works for me too.

The price of GlossyBox is just £10.00 plus £3.25 postage, the items are worth much more so I think this is a great beauty sub box. The quick postage, sleek packaging and great items all add up to make an awesome box, I'm very excited for next months box.
